Pam McCardle

Pamela McCardle has a lifelong love of horses and riding.  It has shaped her education and her life.  It prompted her to tailor her degree in social work to focus on pet facilitated therapy and the human-animal bond.  As a student, Pam volunteered at the Greenlock Therapeutic Riding Center in Rehoboth.  There Pam helped people with a range of abilities gain the physical and emotional benefits of horseback riding.  She also assisted in the training of therapy horses.

Pam was a working student at Valhalla Farm, a Trakehner breeding and training facility located in Wellborn Florida. During Pam’s 11 month stay at Valhalla Pam rode up to five young horses a day and received instruction from Irish Olympian, Shea Walsh.

Pam moved on to ride upper level dressage horses as a working student for US Olympic medalist, Belinda Nairn-Wertman.  Pam rode upper level dressage horses under the watchful eye and instruction of Belinda.

After taking time to start a family, Pam returned to riding and decided to make her passion a career.  Pam finished her teaching apprenticeship and earned her license.  She is now teaching, training and showing dressage.  Pam is a knowledgeable and patient teacher.  She is  particularly good with children.
